Don't Put That RV Away For The Winter Just Yet!

Sure the kids have headed back to school but that’s no reason to stop RVing! Don’t put that RV away just yet! There are still lots of fun weekends in October that are perfect for camping and RVing! Sure the leaves are starting to change and the evening air is a little crisper than it was just a few weeks ago, but camping in the fall season can be some the best camping all season long!

A campfire is even more enjoyable when that evening air has some chill in it! It’s a great time of year to sit around the campfire, drink warmed, mulled apple cider, and tell ghost stories! Our family used to pick apples and then make home-made apple desserts to enjoy while camping! Or, make an apple mountain pie! Yum. There’s nothing quite like a hotdog and hot apple pie off the campfire! It is the flavor of the season!

But that’s not all, the leaves are changing, and it’s a beautiful time of year to go fall foliage watching! The leaves usually peak somewhere around the first week of October. Don’t forget your camera! Many counties have driving tours (you can find one for Crawford County at: http://www.visitcrawford.org/tours.php), and you can enjoy the fall foliage from your car or motorcycle!

You can go camping or RVing and enjoy the festivals of the fall season!
And just because there’s a chill in the air and you don’t own an RV is no reason to stay home! Why don’t you go on a fall get-away! Many private campgrounds have rental cabins equipped with heat, bathrooms and more! No roughing it required! You can enjoy all of the convenience and fun of the campground activities, fall foliage, local festivals at the lower, Autumn prices! It’s a great time of year to get away for a weekend!

There is still a lot of fun RVing and camping weekends ahead for the month of October! Don’t miss all the fun of the fall foliage, fall festivals, and special events! Go camping or RVing and explore the world around you! You’ll make memories that last a lifetime!
